June is shaping up to be a good month. Conner has two full teeth, is in the begining stages of crawling, and can stand while holding onto something (no help from me). Also, he bursts into tears for no apparent reason. Okay so thats the downside of this age. The upside is that he has slept through the night for 4 straight nights. So it turns out I didn't ruin him, and he could be taught after all. I am still trying to unpack our apartment and make everything fit and look nice. Hopefully I will be done before our lease is up. I am not very dilligent about it since most of it is Cameron's and I have no idea what to throw out and what to keep and I'm lazy. We will sort it out eventually.

I Love To See The Temple: Gila Valley Edition
A few Saturdays ago Mom and I took Conner on a day trip to the Gila Valley Temple Open House on it's very last day. It was crowded, but really pretty and we had a nice drive. Conner was pretty good, even if he only slept half the way. He needs someone (most of the time that means me) in the back seat with him so he doesn't feel alone or get bored (second one more likely). I had to stop twice to calm him down on a recent road trip where I was traveling alone with him. Anyway, as with my SLC Temple pictures, please feel free to sing along. You may not know this verse as well. I didn't.

Feeling Better
Conner and I went to the doctor last friday to follow-up on his Bronchiolitis. He hadn't wheezed or coughed the whole second week of an infection that is supposed to last 2 weeks. I was only concerned about him developing an ear infection, because he had some pretty fussy fits during that last week. It is so hard to take care of someone who can't tell you what is wrong. Luckily, his moodiness was not because of an ear infection. Who knows what it was? I am guessing constipation. Anyway, the doctor said he looked good and his lungs sounded just fine. The best part? He gained weight!!! Seven ounces in two weeks. After over a month of very little weight gain I was relieved to see that since his breathing was better he was able to pack on almost half a pound in a short time. Now I am trying to get him back on a regular rice cereal schedule and play a little catch up. He is not quite underweight, but almost. Hopefully he will continue to fill out that lean little body of his. He is a M-O-V-E-R! He is rolling around a lot and looks very close to crawling. Also, he is getting his first tooth. I can't see it yet, but I can feel it. Maybe that contributed to his fussiness. Like I said, it's hard to tell!
We are ready for the summer at our house. Cam is done with school and that means
more time in the evening to be with us. I am looking forward to it. I can't believe the year is half over almost! Luckily it seems like time has slowed down and I am soaking in all of Conner's goodness at his current age. Can't wait to see what the rest of his first year will bring!

Happy Sundays
I have been thinking a lot about the blessings I have been given this week. Here are a few things that make me happy:
watching Conner play, especially when he is playing with his daddy. He likes it when daddy holds him and then they both chase mommy around the house. His laughter is wonderful.
Cuddling up to Cameron. (we need to take more pictures as a couple and family, we don't have many of Cam)
Also, the color pink makes me happy.
Any form of sugar or sugary treat makes me happy.
Eating Italian food makes me happy. If I could, I would have pasta everyday.
Reading good books make me happy (I'm currently reading Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol)
Singing makes me happy. I am excited to be a part of my new ward's choir.
Watching Sleepless in Seattle makes me happy.
Invisioning our place decorated makes me happy, as does putting my design plans into action.
Going for walks and exploring my new neighborhood with Conner makes me happy.
Making new friends makes me happy.
Going to church has always, and will always make me happy.
Knowing I am a daughter of God and that he loves me, makes me happy.
Being a wife and mother gives me great joy, and happiness.
I love you all and hope you had a great Sunday and Mother's Day.

Moving on at 7 months
Conner is 7 months old! He is still 17 lbs so his weight gain has slowed down considerably. That worries me a little, but he has always been a string bean, so maybe he always will be. A week ago Conner was not himself and Cameron and I thought his breathing sounded odd so I called the doctor and brought him into see her that day. She diagnosed it as Bronchiolitis and gave me a nebulizer and a prescription for Albuterol. I was a wreck. Conner hated wearing the mask for the nebulizer and I hated hearing him cry. We both shed a lot of tears in those first 24 hours. He is breathing better though he still has a nasty cough. I just have to wait out another week and then we go back to the pedictrician to make sure the infection has run it's course. While this drama has been going on Cameron, Conner, and I have been settling into our new apartment. We have never lived alone before and setting up the house was really overwhelming to me. I had no idea how to shop for food or what was needed for day to day life. Now however I have (almost) gotten used to the neighborhood (theres a double lock on our door) and have hung up my frame that I showed you all in my last post. It is all coming together.
Conner taking his medicine
watching the Bling Side very intently- he loves football!
Before going to our new ward for the first time
Conner's room. We managed to get both sides of the pack n play to behave after this.

Arts and (Kinda) Crafty Moms
A project of mine this week has been putting the finishing touches on a frame that my mom and I made for a relief society activity during the holidays. You would not believe how many times we have been to the craft store this week, exchanging letters and wood molding and getting more. My mom was super nice to cut the molding I bought into a thin frame and create the frame within a frame look I was going for. It was not easy! I know that I would have probably cut my finger off so I am glad I had her. The frame is plywood and particle board painted black with squares of scrapbook paper to create a pattern. Its pretty big and pretty cute so I am pretty happy with it. This will be the first wall decoration to go into our new apartment before I get all the rest moved down here. Cameron said he didn't mind it except for what he called the "hippy flowers" next to our family name. Men!

Easter and Other Things
Conner's first Easter was very nice, just a low-key celebration. I read the Easter story to him before Conference, and then enjoyed the first Sunday session. Conner dug through his basket full of new toys from the Easter bunny. No candy for him this year, but plenty for mom. After the second session we had our annual Easter dinner with the Roberts family, great friends of ours for more than 15 years. Connie Roberts usually invites others to the party, and this time she introduced us to her son Patricks girlfriend and a woman from her ward named Twyla. It is nice to share the holiday with so many and share all the yummy food. I also included some everyday random cuteness from my little guy.
